I don't normally go for TV talent shows, but "The Voice" is pretty enjoyable. Whilst I am really only watching it for Sir Tom Jones, I have come to enjoy the input from fellow judges Danny, Jessie J and Will.I.Am. Whilst some of the singers have been average, some of them have been rather good too. I expect that I will watch it from time to time and keep up with it.
In the car this week, I have enjoyed listening to Scottish rockers Nazareth. Tracks such as "Hair of the dog", "Woke up this morning", "Love hurts", "Razamanazz" and "Broken down angel" have been on constant rotation. I have really got into their music over recent weeks and thanks to my lovely lady I have now begun to delve into the music of The Scorpions too. Former Scorpions guitarist, Michael Schenker, remains one of my favourite guitarists of all time and his style is perhaps a heavier version of his former bands output. I was quite excited to hear that Michael Schenker has reunited with singer Rob McAuley for the first time since they were in the McAuley Schenker Group together. After reuniting with all of his former MSG vocalists on his excellent album "Tales of Rock'n'Roll", it is great to see Schenker back at the top of his game. I will never forget seeing him at the "Thekla" in Bristol in 2008 as I was stood in front of him and got to watch a guitar maestro in action.
